Our Iron Cross is serial #15 of the 30 that are available in the USA! (That is only 1 per 10,135,324 people!) Oh, and if you have to ask how much it costs, you probably can’t afford it.
The ESP Iron Cross James Hetfield signature guitar is a replica of the model featured on Metallica’s 2009 Death Magnetic tour. ESP has only produced a limited quantity of these guitars. The Iron Cross features a relic finish designed to look exactly like James Hetfield’s original customized 1973 ‘Iron Cross’ Gibson Les Paul.
The ESP Iron Cross features include a set-neck, 24.75” scale, mahogany body with maple cap, mahogany neck, 22 XJ EVO “Gold” Ni- Free alloy frets, distressed gold hardware that includes Sperzel locking tuners, Schaller straplocks, Tonepros Locking bridge & tailpiece, and special EMG 81 (B) / 60 (N) active pickups with distressed gold covers. It has an odd pickup switch configuration where the toggle in the upper position is inactive. The guitar’s finish is a highly distressed black with a gold racing stripe and a metal iron cross on the body top.
