James Hetfield Iron Cross White

The Iron Cross SW features a very memorable white finish with three back stripes across its top, black scratch plate and the large, metal Iron Cross attached to the back behind the tailpiece. The single cut body is bound with a double black line around its circumference that adds an extra level of class to the design. It’s certainly a memorable look, although I can see a number of buyers being put off by the use of the Iron Cross. The fretboard features some very well executed flag inlays that culminate in a further Iron Cross design across the 11th, 12th and 13th frets.

As with the KH-WZ model, this James Hetfield signature features a very subtle JH logo on the headstock that doesn’t scream ‘signature model’ and thus limit the potential market for the guitar too much. This more subtle approach to artist branding looks far more classy and widens appeal far more than a name sprawled across the neck or 12 fret ever would!

The body design is more compact and modern looking than a traditional single cut shape and seems very sleek and contemporary, especially when matched with the wave topped headstock design.

Construction quality is right up there with the best of the LTD range and the Iron Cross SW certainly feels like a much more expensive guitar. As with the KH-WZ, all aspects of the guitar are flawlessly finished with fantastic paint and fret work, matched with a great setup and hardware fitting. Everything is tight and well put together with a feel that lines up well or even better than the price of the guitar suggests. As such, playability is very good indeed with a fast thin, U-shaped neck and XJ frets allowing for easy and effortless technique application, perfect for power chords or lead work across the whole range of the neck. Obviously, upper fret access isn’t up there with the double cut KH-WZ but reaching the 22nd fret isn’t an issue and the addition of the belly cut on the back of the body allows for more comfortable playing experiences than with a traditional LP-style guitar.

Tonally, the Iron Cross SW is a beast thanks to those great sounding (and great looking) EMG JH humbuckers. The JH pickups have a lot of output thanks to the active design but they aren’t just about their bark and bite and can quite happily handle lower gain and clean tones with style. Heavily overdriven tones retain lots of clarity and tightness, perfect for low tuned power chord chugging or palm muted single notes and lead tones are just as silky smooth as the EMG81 in the KH-WZ model. Of course it can scream too if required and can really push a lower gain amp into impressive break up tones by pushing the front end hard with the volume all the way up!

Esp Ltd Iron Cross White Guitar’s be armored with EMG JH SET on the bridge and neck position. This pickup are sleek Diamond-like carbon (DLC) plated caps and EMG’s Solderless Installation System components, the JH Set consists of the JH-N (neck) and the JH-B (bridge). Both pickups were patterned after the pickups James has used for 30 years but the end result was a completely different animal. The JH-N has individual ceramic poles and bobbins that feature a larger core and are taller than the 60. This produces more attack, higher output, and fuller low end in the neck position. The JH-B uses the same type of core but has steel pole pieces, unlike the 81 that uses bar magnets. This produces the familiar tight attack with less inductance for a cleaner low end.

Honestly the best sounding pickups i’ve ever heard. They can handle all the distortion you can throw at them and still have note definition and clarity. That goes for Clean tones as well, Very clear, big beautiful sounding chords and clear leads. There’s a vol knob for each pickup, and a master tone knob. There are 2 switches on the guitar, one, the lower one, controls pickup selection. The other, near the neck, on top, does nothing, just like James Hetfield’ s very own guitar.

The Guitar Construction of the genre Metal and Rock with a solid alder body, 25.5 “scale maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and bolt-on neck joint pretty standard. The neck has a Thin U WAVY contour, 24 extra jumbo frets, Floyd Rose bridge, locking nut and LTD tuners. The pickups are EMG active, with a EMG60 in the neck and bridge EMG81, connected to a switch at 3M possibilities and contr the standard Volume strength and tone. The s neck floor has very cool and complex inlays spider with a great while 10 to 13 frets.

Overall, the design is very much in the way of superstrate but has soft H Rn and less aggressive look that other companies have chosen for the end, and then w Re certainly out of place at a concert jazz a design that responds in a broader sense than other guitars ‘Metal’. Completing the package is a stunning custom design from case to case, tombstone company, keep in mind that it seems to be the only to certain areas and not available everywhere.

The work on the KH-WZ is right up there with other models LTD mid to high price – which is called, it is very good. Especially auff Totally is the excellent quality T the best graphics and intricate inlays make this guitar that really stand out from the crowd and makes sure that they, in the memory of all who have seen it The black surface Che on the rest of the Key Rpers is immaculate and it extends through the neck and matching head stock, the voltage is the only part of the guitar with references Kirk Hammett, courtesy of the subtle signature herbal style.

The foliage Our sample was gearbeit great, with a high quality finish and a v Totally professional freight sensation in the throat. The XJ frets feel well polished and smooth, without loops when bending or vibrato lead. The factory set-up is also very good with sufficiently low action but not buzzing talk and high enough to pass below the elbow when needed.

James Hetfield requested a set of sleek-looking active pickups from EMG with the clarity and punch of passive pickups while still retaining the classic EMG character, and they delivered with the JH “Het” Set you’ll find on the LTD James Hetfield Iron Cross SW Signature guitar. The neck pickup used ceramic pole pieces for a fuller attack, higher output, and beefier low end. The bridge pickup uses steel pole pieces for a tighter attack and cleaner lows. Between the two, you’ve got a world of tone to explore with the ESP LTD James Hetfield Iron Cross SW Signature.ESP LTD guitars was created to bring a more affordable version of the classic designs and quality of ESP guitars to a new market. This is my newest addition to my collection, and I must say that the tone this thing puts out is terrific! I wanted this because I had my eye on a similar guitar in the past, but was unwilling to shell out the money that was being asked to have it custom made. This guitar has all of the features I was looking for but for a fraction of the cost. The pickups in this guitar are quite different to the EMG 81/60 combo I’m used to, and the sound is a lot fuller, and warmer. The neck pickup has a lot more output than the EMG 60, and the bridge pickup gives a much warmer attack than the 81. The white finish with the black hardware and ebony fingerboard make for a beautiful instrument. The pic on here really doesn’t do it justice. If you decide to purchase this, you will probably want to have it setup, as it comes completely factory sealed. All in all I would recommend this guitar to anyone who likes the looks of it, because no matter what type of music you’re into playing, you wont be disappointed in the sound

It was perfectly set-up right out of the box. I swung by Guitar Center to make sure and there were no adjustments to be made. The neck is fast, smooth and plays really well. I truly noticed a difference in my playing almost immediately. It just oozes quality in construction and design. The colors are crisp and bright, I was blown away with how gorgeous it is in person, well-packaged for shipping and not a single blemish. I’m loving the JH signature EMG pickups, you can hear the difference in playing over “regular old” active pickups. The tone is more percussive but also rich sounding. The guitar is lighter than I thought it would be so it’s very comfortable to stand and play for long periods. Locking turners are a breeze. This guitar has definitely exceeded my expectations. I’m in love

The ESP James Hetfield Signature Iron Cross Electric Guitar is designed to the meet the performance demands of its namesake. It features a mahogany body with a maple top, distinctive graphics and set-neck construction. mahogany is a classic ingredient in both slab and multi-wood (or laminated) bodies. mahogany’s characteristic tone is warm and somewhat soft, but well balanced with good grind and bite. There is usually good depth to the sound, with full but not especially tight lows, and appealing if unpronounced highs. Mahogany has a completely different weight and stiffness with a unique dampening factor.

All Hardwares color of this guitar is black. Bridge section features a Tonepros Locking TOM Bridge & Tailpiece. A TonePros bridge will stay in place and not wiggle at all (even thread play is reduced). As a result, the instrument stays in tune better, has improved sustain, and harmonics will seem to jump out of your guitar. The tuners are Sperzel locking tuners. Not much to be said. They re known for being awesome, and Mega stable.
